Cracked Ice is America’s party band of distinction - New York City area musicians who regularly perform on national television, on gold and platinum albums, and in sold-old concert and stadium tours. They’re consummate music industry insiders, the ringers who are called in whenever the music has to be perfect.

The Cracked Ice band is perfect for wedding receptions, corporate parties and functions, gala fundraisers, bar and bat mitzvahs, and wherever people want to dance and listen to seriously great music for their event.
The band has performed at corporate events for Fedex, Wachovia, Rolex SA, SAP, and NBC/Telemundo; charity galas for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Upper Raritan Watershed Association, and Shakespeare on the Sound; and of course, for glorious wedding receptions at wonderful venues like the Pierre and St. Regis hotels in NYC, Gedney Farm in the Berkshires, and the Central Park Boathouse.
Cracked Ice is led is led by saxophonist, composer, and producer Crispin Cioe (pictured below) who has toured/recorded/filmed with the Rolling Stones, has performed with the likes of Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin, and played the sax solos on hit records such as “Living in America”, by James Brown.
He has put together a distinguished group of professional musicians who are considered to be among top recording and touring artists in America: singers who’ve toured with David Bowie, Paul Simon, Wilson Pickett and Steely Dan; a drummer who has recorded with Carly Simon and Dr. John; a keyboardist who has performed on hit Broadway shows like “Victor, Victoria” and recorded on accordian with both Luciano Pavarotti and Bruce Springsteen; a bass player who has recorded with the likes of Sam & Dave and Solomon Burke; and a guitarist who has recorded with such as Madonna, Melissa Etheridge, and Shemekia Copeland.
Cracked Ice performs all forms of popular music: rock ’n’ roll, rhythm and blues, soul, funk, jazz, and pop. Clients and their guests relish requesting tune after tune and witnessing the band perform them flawlessly on the spot.
