The Soul Band is a powerhouse whose world-class musicianship, razor-sharp style, and broad stylistic range make them one of the most sought-after special event bands in the country. This stellar 7-piece ensemble brings back the heyday of soul, when it was all about the groove and the dance floor was always packed. Singer Tim Pike has a mighty rasp that strolls in the shadows of the classic voices of ’60s greats like Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett, and the guys behind him boast their own recording catalogues and have toured with some of the greatest entertainers in America. The drummer is a graduate of the Berklee School of Music, and the guitarist is a former Boston Music Award winner who has been performing internationally since 1993. These accomplished players came together in The Soul Band because it’s their specialty and their passion: classic soul music from the ’60s with an occasional left turn like their earthy treatment of U2’s “Sometimes You Can’t Make It on Your Own.”
