Lyle Lovett

Lyle Lovett and His Large Band always shake things up with an eclectic array of music styles incorporating country, folk, pop, and big-band swing. Lovett is one of the most original artists in music today. Originally billed as a country artist, but then shifting into an unknown genre with a large cult following, Lovett combines his witty lyrics with a big band-style ensemble complete with guitars, a cellist, a pianist, a horn section, and a gospel-trained backup singer. His hits include "That's Right (You're Not From Texas)," "I've Been to Memphis," "Give Back My Heart," and "My Baby Don't Tolerate."
